This is a great stretch for lower back health and is definitely one to add to your daily routine. If you use your breath to guide you it also promotes relaxation and is a great relaxing stretch to do before going to bed.
Steps:
1) Begin Lying on your stomach with your hands just outside the tops of your shoulders, similar to doing a pushup.
2) Inhale deeply and as you exhale press your upper body upwards, but keeping your hips on the floor. You are exhaling on the way up because your lower back is contracting at the top of the movement.
3) Inhale to lower to starting position.
4) Make the pose until you need to take another breath.
5) Repeat 10 times.
Enjoy!
