Each session, our Bootcamp instructors nominate one outstanding bootcamper from each of their classes whom they feel exemplifies the spirit of Best Body Bootcamp. A panel then deliberates and chooses one lucky nominee to reign as the Bootcamper of the Month
This month’s winner is… KAREN KINCH!
And we couldn’t be happier to congratulate her for all of her hard work and success!
What her trainer said:
I nominate Karen Kinch for Bootcamper of the Month! Karen really likes to push herself, and best of all, enjoys a push from me! On top of that she’s been this months most loyal member, missing only 3 classes the whole month! Most importantly she shows up, gives 100% and KICKS ASS! Who doesn’t love that?!
– Danielle Williams, Bootcamp Instructor – Bloor West
We surprised Karen with the news of her accolade at bootcamp, presenting her with her “official” certificate 😉 and asked her a few questions about her bootcamp experience!
Here’s what she had to say…
1 What was your reaction when you were told you were Bootcamper of the Month?
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I was “Bootcamper of the Month”
2 What was your fitness regimen prior to Best Body Bootcamp? and what made you choose/switch to Bootcamp?
Prior to Bootcamp, I was a long distance runner but after my second child, I was having back problems and breaking the routine of my daily morning run was actually pretty easy. I always had an excuse – I’m tired, my back is hurting, the kids needed something… I originally joined Bootcamp with a friend more as a way to spend time with my friend but I loved the workout! The time of day (6am class!) doesn’t permit excuses because I’m definitely not “busy” at that time and my family isn’t even awake yet! I like the changing routines, I get a full body workout. It’s a great way to start my day!
3 What was your initial experience like (your first bootcamp) and what made you stick with it?
From the first class, I liked it. I need someone to check my form and the commitment of joining a class makes me stick to it!
4 What’s the one piece of advice you would give to a new bootcamper that you wish someone had told you?
It’s different. It’s not the gym… And it’s fun!
5 What would you say has been your biggest improvement, both physical and emotional?
Bootcamp is a great stress release and a super way to start my day. It’s a good habit that’s hard to break!
Congrats again Karen! and by “again” we mean AGAIN! Who knew that 4 years later you would be our Bootcamper of the Month for a second time! That is a real testament to your dedication to your health and wellness! You are a great ambassador!
Have a great week everyone!
The Best Body Bootcamp Team!
