We love Thanksgiving around our house! We love getting together with family and friends, being conscious and thankful for our many blessings, and of course… enjoying great food!
Now just because we don’t get to eat our mom’s amazing goodies that often, that doesn’t mean that we should eat so much that we need to loosen our pants after dinner!
Easier said than done right? I know, I haven’t tried your moms great cooking, but if you lack complete self-control during holidays like Thanksgiving, then you’re missing one key piece of the puzzle.
What really motivates you to eat healthy and exercise? Is it simply that your doctor told you you should? Or is it the big thing with the girls at the office right now?
Are your goals deep enough to get you through the tempting holiday times without gaining some serious inches on your waist line?
Set your S.M.A.R.T GOALS NOW!
SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, ACHIEVABLE, RESULT FOCUSED, TIME FRAME BASED.
And don’t just write them out. Make them visual with pictures, or even a quick video that you can view every single morning to keep you focused.
Sure, somewhere along the line you may sway from the ‘big picture’ goals a little, but by then you’ve made nutrition and fitness a habit, so sabotaging your goals becomes a rare occurrence.
Motivation is what gets you started, Habit is what keeps you going.
So, start with some concrete goals! Make healthy eating and regular exercise a habit and the results you want will soon find you!
Have a happy and healthy day!
