Several years ago, I was lucky enough to be introduced to essential oils by a friend of mine. I must admit, at first, I just didn’t believe the hype. Despite his constant talk and praise of essential oils, I was skeptical that they could be used for anything other than aromatherapy.
But one day changed all of that.
My friend just happened to be around on a day I was struggling with a stubborn cold and annoying sinus congestion. He instructed me to open my hand, and proceeded to place a drop of peppermint essential oil into it. He then told me to rub my hands together in a circulator motion, and cup my hands around my nose and mouth and breathe in….
Ok, so you all know the feeling of sinus congestion! That completely annoying feeling when you can’t breathe through your nose accompanied with constant head pressure! Well, after a few breaths of this ‘magic oil’, my sinuses started to clear and I could breathe through my nose again! Halleluiah!
But he wasn’t done yet! He then poured a drop of an oil which smelled like spicy cinnamon, into the back of my throat, which was surprisingly spicy. Apparently, this amazing oil called Thieves which he has just given me is known to kill just about any bacteria around. Well, it worked wonders for me that day.
That was my first taste of Young Living (YL) Essential oils. Since then YL Oils have become a staple in my life. If you had to make a choice between using something natural and good for your body, versus harsh chemicals with potential side effects, which would you choose?
These are just some of the ways you can use YL Essential Oils:
Peppermint: Energy boost, upset stomach, fever relief, muscle aches
Lavender: Calming effect, cuts and scrapes, skin health
Thieves: Fights colds and the flu, boosts immune system, cleans and disinfects
Lemon: Helps alkaline the body, vitamin C, cleans and disinfects
Purification: Cleans the air from odors, pink eye, ear infections, bug repellent
The list goes on….but I think that YL Oils are not meant to be talked about, they are meant to be tried and tested on yourself. Like I said at the beginning of my post, I wasn’t easily convinced and I don’t expect you to be either.
The benefits of these oils are truly amazing and that’s why I am excited to share them with you. I’m going to be hosting an interactive workshop at our studio on Tuesday , November 22nd at 6:30PM and I’d like to invite you to join me to experience first hand the benefits of these oils, try them and learn more about them and how you can incorporate them into your everyday life!
